Core Store Challenge Update

As many of you will have seen last week we were taking part in the Converse x Grey Core Store Challenge. The premise was that 10 of the finest skater owned shops produced 3 minute edits and they’d be posted up on the website for voting purposes. We went along to the premiere and as we suspected our edit was pretty different to everyone else’s, overall the standard was really high and the clips were really varied and represented well the shops that had made them. Our clip had a really good response and we received a lot of votes, putting us into 3rd place. Unfortunately there were some issues with the Core Store Challenge voting system so that was disabled and the organisers took the decision to award on views. It was the only fair way to do it but it meant we lost our 3rd place spot to Welcome! It’s all good though, we were stoked to be involved and we’re proud of our clip too.

Congrats to Lost Art Skate Shop who deservedly took the top spot just above Endemic. You can’t win them all!

Massive thanks to Daz at Landslide for sourcing the music, it took a long time to find exactly what we were after but it was worth the effort.

All the Ross footage was pretty much filmed in one day due to bad weather, car breakdowns and other commitments! Both him and Skate Pharm chief filmer Biscuits put in the work on this one so please spare 3 minutes out of your busy day to give it a watch and enjoy the strange sights of Dungeness….
