NASS 2015
The Skate Pharm team had a successful weekend at NASS 2015. Not only did they win the Shop Battle and get a podium spot in the final, they also managed to unlock a previously unknown level on Tony Hawks Pro Skater 2!
Witness the skateboarding skills of Kris Vile, John Howlett, Oakley Liddell, Sam Murgatroyd, Carl Wilson and some guy called Tony Hawk.
In the final John repeated the consistency that took us to victory in the Shop Battle but was definitely tiring after skating all weekend leaving him a very respectable 9th place. Somehow he still found enough energy to try the ollie over to back tail that he’d been doing all weekend with a bigspin out for best trick. Unfortunately his board gave way under such a beating and he couldn’t repeat last years best trick win. Kris had been skating consistently well as usual, he looked a sure cert for a podium place.
With such a jump ramp heavy course it’s quite hard to beat a run that has a back flip in it though so once again the rightful victory went to Danny Leon from Spain. Kris cruised into 2nd with his usual consistency, technical ability and good use of the whole course – all essential ingredients to placing high in a comp.
