Before X-Games, Street League and all the fashion nonsense no one had any interest in skateboarding, we were the outcasts. Skateboarding appearing in the mainstream media was almost non-existent so when it appeared in a Hollywood movie in 1987 it was quite a big deal, in fact if you ask most guys in their 40’s this or Back to the Future is probably what introduced them to skating in the first place.
