Z-Flex skateboards is about as steeped in skateboard history as it’s possible to be, if you’ve seen the film Dogtown and the Z-Boys you already know. In 1976 Jay Adams step dad Kent Sherwood took members of the original Zephyr team and launched EZ-Ryder skateboards which soon changed it’s name to Z-Flex.
The original team included Jay Adams, Tony Alva and Jim Muir. The next generations of Z-Boys included names like Jimmy Plummer, Dennis ‘Polar Bear’ Agnew, Jimmy Acosta, Butch Sterbings, Aaron Scott and George Watanabe. Z-Flex is one of the longest running skateboard brands in existence.
