Founded in 1989 by legendary street skateboarder Mark Gonzales in partnership with Steve Rocco's World Industries, Blind Skateboards played a pivotal role in shaping modern street skateboarding. The name itself was a deliberate dig at Gonzales' former sponsor, Vision Skateboards, reflecting the rebellious attitude of the emerging street skating scene. Blind assembled an extraordinary early team featuring Jason Lee, Guy Mariano, Rudy Johnson and Jordan Richter, releasing the groundbreaking Video Days in 1991. Directed by Spike Jonze, the video remains one of the most influential skateboard films ever produced. Blind also became famous for its provocative advertising, irreverent graphics and iconic Grim Reaper character. Later generations of riders included Ronnie Creager, James Craig and TJ Rogers. Now part of the former Dwindle Distribution family of brands, Blind continues to produce skateboard decks, complete skateboards, wheels and accessories, combining classic graphics and heritage reissues with modern skateboard construction.
