The National Skateboard Co.
Founded in Leeds in 2012 by Ryan Gray, Tom Brown, Tom Harrison and Sam Barratt, The National Skateboard Co. has established itself as one of Britain's most distinctive independent skateboard brands. The company made an unusual entrance to the UK skate scene by anonymously sending mysterious branded T-shirts to skate shops, sparking widespread speculation before officially revealing itself. Its original team included Neil Smith, David Mackey, Danijel Stankovic, Thomas Harrison, Vaughan Jones and Joshua 'Manhead' Young. The release of its first full-length skateboard video in 2016 helped cement its reputation for authentic British street skateboarding. Known for its understated branding, thoughtful artwork and references to history, politics and popular culture, The National produces premium skateboard decks, T-shirts, hoodies, caps and accessories. With an influential team spanning several generations of British and European skateboarders, The National continues to represent an independent, creative approach to skateboarding.
